Castor oil packs can help with anything from period pain, to softening scar tissue, to helping detox the liver and reduce inflammation. They’re also known to improve digestion… I had seen a few people on various reproductive health forums and Facebook pages mention they use castor oil packs – to be honest I wasn’t sure what they were, or what they did, until my functional medical doctor told me to use them and gave me a very handy sheet of instructions and explanatory info, which she kindly gave me permission to share here.
Very much well worth a try – I have a huge tummy tuck scar that often feels tight and like it’s pulling – not a lot of give. I found after a few packs that the scar is a lot softer and moves around without that pulling-dry-skin feeling. Traditionally, castor oil has been used as a natural laxative, but it has many uses externally also – as noted by Edgar Cayce during his years of practice.
